This is a really cute kids book! Reminds me Boxcar Children, similar simple, to the point, good writing for younger children. Differences- The characters are not all goodie goodie but are real, meaning some are good, most times, others you want to walk into the book and .....discipline! I would recommend the hard copy of this and the other books in this series if you have children or grandchildren who like to hear you read, or can read chapter books on their own.
What could be better than spending a special day with your family celebrating the freedom of a special country. This is an entertaining, and educational book. It reminded me of Fourth of July celebrations when I was growing up. This rates five stars.
I smiled reading the first chapter and just kept grinning the whole way thru. Eva and Aspen are definitely siblings and you can really understand their dynamic. I was surprised to learn something as well about the first 4th of July. I would definitely recommend this for a cute quick read
The 4 th of July is my favorite holiday and this book perfectly captured the fun, hot and sticky, chaotic family, sibling bonding, glorious fireworks kind of day. My kids loved this book and declared it the best yet by this author. They particularly liked the funny banter between the sisters and the cousins. They also like the Magic treehouse series, which is a different style of book but appropriate for the same level of readers. We can't wait to read The Halloween Kitty!
Wonderful book! Kari takes all of our favorite things of Independence Day and puts it in a wonderful story! The kids are very relatable and so sweet!
Great book! Kari brings to life the quintessential July 4th holiday with a bit of fun family chaos thrown in. The Montana Friends are a lively bunch! Totally recommend it!
